Truth

Today I got to speak with some amazing folks — Gary Bredow and Jenny Feterovich, the producers of a show called “Start UP”. They featured me and The Hydrant Club on their PBS series a few years ago and during this coronavirus disaster they’re circling back with an array of those businesses to see how they’re faring, share tips on survival and all that.

It was a hour-long chat — wide ranging — all about my business, what’s happened since we spoke last and, of course, how we’re doing in light of all that’s happening.

There’s something so liberating about speaking truth, even when it’s possible that having done so will make waves … usually because there are people who don’t particularly like the truth.

Telling the truth is always important. In times like this, it is especially so.

Here’s to the truth tellers.

Today’s Gracious Gratitude. I am grateful for:

  • Having navigated a few particularly ugly days without doing anything stupid or saying anything mean
  • Staying sober
  • My dogs
  • Watching my garden grow
  • Being part of an amazing gratitude text group with some other amazing women
  • That I have a few days to recuperate a bit
  • Sleep
  • Ozark
